What is intelligence
based living?
Most of us take our health for granted. We assume that no matter what we eat we will be healthy. We assume that we will be healthy whether we exercise or not. We assume that if we cut a finger it will heal. We assume that if we get sick we will get well. We assume that if we have a headache, backache, stomach ache, etc. that it will go away.
Why do we make those assumptions? Upon what do we base our faith?
We base our faith on intelligence. Intelligence can be defined as the ability to adapt to new and trying situations. Life has that ability. Under normal circumstances we can adapt to eating a wide variety of foods and survive. When we exercise we adapt by becoming stronger and more efficient. When we cut a finger, the cut heals and the finger often returns to its previous condition, perhaps with a little scar.
A corpse does not digest food, a corpse does not grow more muscle, the finger of a corpse does not heal. Once life is gone adaptation ceases.
Why do we get sick?
Do bugs cause disease? Viruses and bacteria are all around us. Yet, most of us naturally keep them in check. It is not due to chance. Can we take the sick among us and determine why they are sick and make them healthy? If health is our natural state, how do we lose it?
